Hello friends :)
My name is Meghan and I’m a Massachusetts born singer-songwriter. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have found my passion at such a young age. From elementary school through high school I was involved in a number of chorus groups and musicals. With every performance, I quickly realized that there is nothing that makes me happier than singing and being onstage.
I’m happy to say I’ve graduated from writing my five lined “songs” in middle school to releasing my first debut single “Little Love Confessions” in March 2017. Although I didn’t attend college for Songwriting (majored in Digitals Arts and double minored in Theatre and Music) you’d probably think otherwise if you’d flip through the pages of my subject notebooks. I didn’t begin actively writing songs until a classmate of mine passed away unexpectedly. From then on songwriting became my outlet for all parts of life - both good and bad. A lot of weekend nights were spent writing down lyrics and by my senior year I was spending my Saturday nights in the recording studio at a neighboring college. I couldn’t have done any of this without my piano teacher Arielle Hanudel who taught me how to write music to my original songs.
My influences cross all genres, but throughout life I’ve found the most inspiration from Ed Sheeran, Hunter Hayes, Rascal Flatts, and Taylor Swift. I’ve always had a love for the storytelling aspect of country music so you’ll notice that my songs are very relatable. These past six months have been so much fun from recording at Coupe Studios in Boulder, CO with my music producer Brandon Calano to meeting with Jamie Wigginton, Belmont University’s commercial voice coach, on Music Row in Nashville. My debut single "Little Love Confessions" has been given airplay on Nash Icon 98.9, The Iceman's Top 40 New Country streaming from Nashville, TN, and Boston's 101.7 The Bull sponsored by iHeart Radio. I have gained international attention being played on Radio New Wheels in the Netherlands as their "Artist of the Week"and have been played on UK Country Radio in Leeds, England. I'm also registered as a BMI Songwriter and belong to the NSAI Boston Chapter. The Martha's Vineyard Songwriting Festival taught by hit songwriters Clay Mills and Marty Dodson was one of the best weekends of my life. I'm happy to be attending the festival again in September 2018 with instructors, Jimmy Yeary and Brent Baxter.
Nowadays you can find me performing at cafes and bars singing originals and cover songs with my guitarist Norwood Pearson. Whether I’m in Bozeman, MT or downtown Boston I absolutely love it when people come over to say hi and share what songs they connected with the most. Disclaimer: If you do so, be aware I am both a talker and a hugger.
With my passion for singing and fierce determination to follow my dreams, I hope to one day tour an EP and be signed by a record label. Until then, this is just the beginning and I’m enjoying every minute.
All My Love,
